On Saturday March 3rd, I had the great honour of being interviewed for my role efforts with Rally for Rangers. My friend Tasha Bridgen suggested the story to Teri Loretto who is currently hosting the CBC Ottawa current affairs morning show In Town and Out. Teri was very enthusiastic about the initiative and invited me into the studio to discuss it.
Tom Medema, co-founder of Rally for Rangers Foundation offered to help out with the interview and we linked him in from California. The interview went very well, I am so glad Tom was there to help out and articulate what Rally for Rangers is and my role in it.
Immediately after the spot aired on the radio, we got two donations. One from a friend and the other from a stranger. Later in the day some more pledges came and now we have this great little piece of audio that really explains things well. The momentum continues to build.
As Tom puts it: me and a group of people are going to raise some money and we are going to ride a motorcycle 1500 km across the roadless barrens of Patagonia and we are going to hand over the keys to that motorcycle, on my behalf and on your behalf to a park ranger who will use it to protect one the most incredible places on Earth.
I know $100 is a lot to give to someone you don't know, even if you are getting a t-shirt. If you are inclined to go big, use the link above. But any amount is helpful. If you can afford $5 or $10, here is a button just for you.
